Cat dander is a common allergy that causes itchy, watery eyes and skin to breakout in rashes.

Cat allergy is type of allergy that one develops in response to proteins in cat hair or cat dander (which are flakes of dry cat skin). Cat allergy is one of the more common allergies. The allergic reaction occurs due to contact with cat hair or dander. This blood test measures the amount of IgE antibodies in the blood and is ordered after having been exposed to some cat allergens and exhibiting any of the symptoms that accompany a cat allergy.
